Edit or delete a category

How to edit a category?
Go to the "Questions" area on the left side menu and click on the "Category" section to access the list of categories and choose the category you want to edit
Click on the name of the category or click on the "Three-dots vertical" button and then click on "Edit" to access all sections of a category: Description, Restricted, Parent Category, Similar Category
After making the necessary changes, click on the "Save" button
Category statistics
Once you are inside the "Edit Category" section, on the right side of each category you will find the following information:
The number of questions learned by Zap that belong to that category
The number of Administrators and Masterminds in that category
Category Administrators:
The list of people who have been assigned by your organization as administrators of that category. Click on the "Downward Arrow" button to display the list of people
If you want to remove this superpower from a particular person, click on the "Remove Admin" button. If you want to make that person an Admin again read our article on Edit or delete a user
Masterminds:
The list of people who have proven to have a high level of knowledge in that category during training. This is what we call objective knowledge. Click on the "Downward Arrow" button to display the list of people. Check out our section Knowledge Managemen
Objective Knowledge is assessed with a score from 0 to 5. You can change the cut-off score on which users become masterminds. To do this, open a support ticket
If you want to add the Administrator superpower to a person, click on the "Add Admin" button. Objective Knowledge is assessed with a score from 0 to 5. You can change the cut-off score on which users become Wise. To do this, open a support ticket
Self-designated Masterminds:
This list of people will be available if People Analytics is enabled in your organization. These are people who have assessed themselves with a high level of knowledge in that category. This is what we call subjective knowledge. Check out our article Knowledge Management
How to delete a category?
Go to the "Questions" area on the left side menu and click on the "Category" section to access the list of categories and choose the category you want to delete
Click on the "Three-dots vertical" button and then click on "Delete"
Click on the "Accept" button in the pop-up window to delete or "Cancel" to exit
Click on any area of the "Left Side Menu" to exit the "Category" section
Note: If you delete a Parent category, the Child categories will automatically become Parent categories. For example, in the category path "Product>IT;Data":
Product is the Parent category
IT, Data, are Child categories
If you delete Product, IT and Data will become Parent categories
