Training Pills are one of the most attractive formats in Microlearning. In Zapiens they are small units of content associated with a question. Their objective is to transmit knowledge in a fast, effective and attractive way for the user. 


In Zapiens there are two types of Training Pills:

  1. Hint: They are units of content that appear before the question 

  2. More info: These are units of content that appear after the question

How to create a Training Pill in a question?


In Zapiens you can create Training Pills in two ways:

  1. During the process of creating a new question:

    1. Click on the "Create question" button to access all its sections: Status, Category, Question, Multimedia, Shuffle, Answers and Training Pills

  2. During the process of editing an existing question:

    1. Click on the "Three-dots vertical" button and then click on "Edit" to access all its sections

  3. In both cases, click on the "Create Pill" button at the bottom of the page

  4. Click on the "Hint" or "More Info" button, depending on the type of Training Pill you need to create. The creation process is the same:

    1. Select a multimedia file from your PC 

    2. In the "Body" section write the content

    3. Click on the "Save" button

  5. If you want to delete the Pill, click on the "Delete" button 

  6. Click on any section in the left side menu or via the path Questions > Edit Question > Training Pills, located at the top left to exit the creation process

Our recommendations for creating quality training pills

  1. Make them short. In Zapiens you can add up to 500 characters to the pills, although we recommend that you do not use all the characters available 

  2. That they are focused on a single topic, concept or idea

  3. That they have associated multimedia elements, since it favors a more fluid and dynamic learning process. Characteristics of the multimedia files that you can import:

    • Images in jpg, jpeg, png or gif format and dimensions 700x300px 

    • Audios in mp3 or wav format with a maximum size of 10MB

    • Videos in mp4, webm or ogg format with a maximum size of 10MB


Note: Remember that in the "Body" section you can add an external link to a website or a document found in your organization's cloud:

  1. Select the text to which you want to add the link

  2. Click on the "Link" button in the menu

  3. In the pop-up window, paste the link in the "To what URL should this link go?" part

  4. Click on the "Insert Link" button to save the changes

How to translate a Training Pill?


In Zapiens you can translate the Training Pills during the process of creating or editing the question: 

  1. Click on the "Hint" or "More Info" button, depending on the type of Training Pill you need to translate

  2. Click on the 'Save and Translate' button at the bottom of the page or on the 'Add Translation' section at the top right: 

    1. Select the language of the translation

    2. Upload the multimedia file again if necessary

    3. In the "Body" section, add the translated content

    4. On the right side you have the preview of how it appears in the App

  3. Click on the "Save" button

  4. A new section will appear with the name of the selected language

  5. From there you can edit or delete the translation

  6. Click on any section of the left side menu or via the path Questions > Edit Question > Training Pills, found at the top left to exit the translation process
